Everyone knows the story of the Wizard of Oz, but do you know what happened before Dorothy was whipped away from her home in Kansas with Toto? Enter Wicked – the untold story of the Witches of Oz. WICKED is returning to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale from February 14 – March 4, 2018. In earlier years when Wicked was here in Miami, it was most definitely the talk of the town, and now it’s back by popular demand. Many years ago when it first came to Miami I saw the show with my Mama and Jason. It was so good and I can’t wait to see it again. But enough about me, this is all about you and how you do NOT want to miss this incredible performance!!! To give you the chance to see it, the production will conduct a pre-show daily Wicked ticket lottery at the box office, making a limited number of orchestra tickets available at $25 apiece – cash only. Here’s your chance to make your own memories happen by entering the Wicked ticket lottery!
How to enter the Wicked Ticket Lottery
Entries for the Wicked ticket lottery will be accepted at the Broward Center Peck Court beginning two and a half hours prior to each performance; each person will print their name and the number of tickets (1 or 2) they wish to purchase on a card that is provided. Two hours before curtain, names will be drawn for the Wicked ticket lottery at random for a limited number of tickets priced at $25 each, cash only. Only one entry is allowed per person. Cards are checked for duplication prior to drawing. Winners must be present at the time of the lottery drawing and show valid ID to purchase tickets. Limit one entry per person and two tickets per winner. Tickets are subject to availability.

About Wicked the Musical
So much happened before Dorothy dropped in. WICKED, the Broadway sensation, looks at what happened in the Land of Oz…but from a different angle. Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another young woman, born with emerald-green skin—smart, fiery, misunderstood, and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships…until the world decides to call one “good,” and the other one “wicked.”
Long before that girl from Kansas arrives in Munchkinland, two girls meet in the land of Oz. One – born with emerald green skin – is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. How these two grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good makes for “the most complete – and completely satisfying – musical in a long time” (USA Today).
Variety calls WICKED “a cultural phenomenon,” and it continues to break box office records across North America. Winner of over 100 international awards, including a Grammy® and three Tony® Awards, WICKED is “Broadway’s biggest blockbuster” (The New York Times).
WICKED, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Pippin, Godspell, Disney’s Enchanted, Academy Award® winner for Pocahontas and The Prince of Egypt) and book by Winnie Holzman (“My So Called Life,” “Once And Again” and “thirtysomething”), is based on the 1995 best-selling novel by Gregory Maguire.
The musical is directed by two-time Tony® Award winner Joe Mantello (Take Me Out, Love! Valour! Compassion!, The Vagina Monologues) and features musical staging by Tony® Award winner Wayne Cilento (Aida, The Who’s Tommy, How To Succeed…). WICKED, the untold story of the witches of Oz, is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt and David Stone.
