I’m a real stickler when it comes to car seat safety. The one thing you NEVER want to do is buy a used seat or continue using a car seat that has been involved in an accident. Without knowing the car seats true history, you could be putting your child at risk. Looking to upgrade your child’s car seat? If your little one is outgrowing their infant seat or car seat, or perhaps you need an extra car seat, booster seat, etc., now is the time to head out and get your little one a brand new car seat during the Target Car Seat Trade-In event! Once you bring in your used car seat, you’ll receive a 20% off coupon for the purchase of a new one. This post contains an affiliate link.

Wondering what happens to the old car seats? Target has partnered with Waste Management to recycle the parts to create new things like grocery carts, plastic buckets and construction materials. Since 2016 Target has collected over 176,000 car seats, and diverted over 2.6 million pounds of materials from landfills.
