Summer in New York is filled with so much to do and see that it can be overwhelming to pick just a few road trip destinations perfect for summer. With so many iconic landmarks and New York favorites, the summer months are a great time to get out, explore and take a family road trip.
Having been born and raised in New York City there were so many places I visited as a child, with my parents and especially on school trips. You see my Mama was a New York City taxi cab driver and it was her job to know and suggest attractions and places for families to visit while in town. Mama always kept lists handy with free museum entry times and suggestions on other free things to do in New York City.

When I was just a little girl my Mama would take me to see great shows on Broadway. One of the most memorable by far was Annie. I will never forget seeing the little red-headed orphan and wishing that I too could be adopted by Daddy Warbucks.
