Dance – there are so many forms of it, from ballet competitive, children as young as three years old begin taking classes with professional instructions to learn the techniques of their preferred style of dance. My nephew started dancing at a very young age, and began entering competitions with his dance partner at a young age.
Every evening when the girls go to sleep we have a special routine – and if I miss a step they are quick to let me know. After they are all tucked into bed with their loveys, I turn on a lullaby – and have to leave my phone in their room until they fall asleep. Which depending on Em’s tiredness can take some time. I don’t mind, I can live without my phone, it’s just that sometimes I forget to put it on airplane mode and a call comes in and stops the music.
One of the only things I have an obsession for more than Alice, is Pink, or better know as P!nk. No really, check my phone, she’s the only artist whose entire album I have in my playlist. My obsession with P!nk began back when music was sold on cassette tapes and I had a Walkman. I’ve loved P!nk since before the debut of her first album as a solo artist in 2000 titled “Can’t Take Me Home.
Opening night of Motown The Musical happened last night and had everyone, including myself, dancing in their seats. When I saw Motown last year I loved it from beginning to end, so when I was invited back to see it again I couldn’t say no. I was excited to see Motown listed for the 2015-2016 season of Broadway in Miami at the Adrienne Arsht Center. Who better to tell the story of how some of America’s best music came to be than the singers themselves.
