See that symbol in the middle with the eye, that’s the Eye of Horus. Little known fact – I have the Eye of Horus tattooed on the inner wrist of my right hand. Many moons ago I wanted one of those evil eye thwarting necklaces. Thing is, you can’t buy it for yourself – and no matter how many hints I dropped, no one seemed to be understanding me. So I did the next best thing, I got a tattoo.

If you’ve ever had to move as a child you know that it can be a time that is filled with emotions. Children feel all sorts of emotions throughout their day, and getting to know them is a healthy part of growing up. Understanding emotions allows a child to express themselves without fear of what is happening. Joy is a favorite emotion in our home – especially with the girls.
Last night we enjoyed a family movie night with all of our emotions from Inside Out.

I have noticed that a lot of remakes of old films or screenplays tend to attempt to modernize the time portrayed from that of the original. Sometimes it works, sometimes times it doesn’t. A classic such as Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet has a solid foundation for its place in history. A time when being married off was the way of the world and neighboring enemies fought.
