#MyMom was my world. My biggest regret was not being old enough to appreciate her for her true value. She was a strong woman who came to America from Russia with a dream and a vision. Mama worked hard to provide for her family, especially after my father passed away just two years after their arrival to the United States. Left to raise two children with no command of the English language, Mama did not let anything stop her or get in her way.

It was likely I wasn’t going to finish high school, graduate college or get a real job. It was likely that my son wasn’t going to have the best life. It was BULLSHIT, and I was determined to rise above it, for MY SON.
Let me start by saying that I owe A LOT to my own Mama for being there for me and for pushing me to do better, achieve more, reach higher.
