Social good projects have a special place in my heart. They not only benefit the direct recipients, but the community as a whole. One of those social good projects is The Gan Montessori Preschool. The Gan was founded as a project of the Chabad Russian Center and built to engage the young children of the Russian Jewish community.
Not just anybody can create a place like The Gan, which means Garden in Hebrew. It takes a lot of love, dedication, and commitment.
After many years of being cramped in a small space with two adults and three children we are finally moving into a bigger place!!! I am so thoroughly excited and anxious at the same time. The last time I moved was from NYC to Miami in 2006. I packed up my little VW Golf, put J-bird in the back seat, and off we went.
Now that our family has grown, we need more space. The girls have shared our bedroom with us and I am thrilled they will have their own space now.
Have you ever entered a contest that asked you to like a page on Facebook? If you didn’t win, it could be because your settings are set to private. I recently came across an issue that I previously didn’t realize could disqualify me from winning giveaways. I wanted to make sure this never happens to you.
If you, like me, love entering giveaways, then you want to be sure that your Facebook and Twitter are not set to private.

Prize Pack Giveaway!
THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE will be in theaters in less than two weeks!
A few years ago The Hunger Games was one of the books on J’s summer reading list. I begged and pleaded for him to read to no end. Finally one of his older friends mentioned the book and told him how good it was. Not only did he read it in a matter of days, but he re-read it! Then he went on to nag me for the sequels to it.
