When Preemie was born it was extremely important to spend time doing skin to skin care with her for developmental purposes. Day and night, as often as was recommended, I would sit at her incubator and place her naked tiny body under my shirt and just hold her. The bond created from “baby-wearing” is not only special, but healthy for both Mama and baby.
