There is nothing more precious than your little bundle of joy. When we brought Emily home I had monitors set up everywhere so that I could keep on eye on her no matter where I was in the house. As time passes and technology evolves, monitors are getting better and better.
Every evening when the girls go to sleep we have a special routine – and if I miss a step they are quick to let me know. After they are all tucked into bed with their loveys, I turn on a lullaby – and have to leave my phone in their room until they fall asleep. Which depending on Em’s tiredness can take some time. I don’t mind, I can live without my phone, it’s just that sometimes I forget to put it on airplane mode and a call comes in and stops the music.
Having peace of mind when it comes to your children is a must for parents to maintain some sanity. Life doesn’t stop so you can do the dishes, cook dinner or even watch a few minutes of TV. Being able to allow your children the freedom of safely playing in their room while still under your watchful eye teaches them independence and allows you to get daily chores done.
