Opening night of Motown The Musical happened last night and had everyone, including myself, dancing in their seats. When I saw Motown last year I loved it from beginning to end, so when I was invited back to see it again I couldn’t say no. I was excited to see Motown listed for the 2015-2016 season of Broadway in Miami at the Adrienne Arsht Center. Who better to tell the story of how some of America’s best music came to be than the singers themselves.
I am about to shock you, so please take a seat. I have NEVER seen The Sound of Music – nope, not even the movie. I almost didn’t accept the opening night invitation to see the musical. At the last-minute I decided to go and I am so THANKFUL I did! The Sound of Music is truly a one of a kind musical – and I’ve heard the movie is just as amazing – but the cast is what truly made this musical what it is.
If your little ones breath, sleep and eat Disney, then they are in for a real treat. Likely they’ve seen the movies, the characters in person, maybe even been to Disney World itself. But to be able to embrace the music, oh the magical music from the movies with Disney In Concert is a pleasure for the senses.
