Whoopi Goldberg brings her “Sister Act” to Miami along with a cast of nuns, bad guys and even the Pope! Wanna be disco singer Deloris, originally played by Whoopi Goldberg in the 1992 movie, witnesses a murder by her married boyfriend and is sent off to hide in a convent. Now disguised as a nun, Deloris must give up her naughty ways to fit into her new lifestyle. Feeling as if all her dreams to become a singer are over, she takes over as the director of the doomed church’s choir, giving them and herself, a renewed sense of being. The newly found fame in the church’s choir leads to the the identity of Deloris being revealed as the would be thugs come looking for her. Will she find salvation in the church and her new sisters?
Sister Act returns to the for the Performing Arts with Deloris through Sunday, April 19, 2015.

Deloris and Mother superior do not see eye to eye upon their first meeting. Kerissa Arrington who plays Deloris has a profound talent and voice. People to watch for include Sister Mary Patrick played by Sarah Michelle Cuc, and Monsignor O’Hara played by Gordon Gray, two show stealers! Get ready for a mix of soul and boogie as the church gets down to the funk of all that Deloris has to offer, even Mother Superior gets in on the Pope “gig”. Sister Act will take you on an adventure through laughs and emotions, ending in love and a sisterly bond.
