Disclosure: This is a sponsored post on behalf of Cascio Interstate Music. I received product samples of the product mentioned below. All opinions are my own.
Music is said to be good for the mind, body and soul. It has a calming nature about it that you can not find in anything else, except maybe art. Remember playing the recorder as your first musical instrument in school? It wasn’t really about learning how to play a recorder as much as it was to teach students how to read music. Once you can read it, you can play it on almost anything.
The piano is of the greatest interest to me for my girls. Watching the piano being played is like watching a Swan Lake. It’s smooth, powerful and graceful. There is something special about the way the hands and fingers glide over the keys to produce music that can be soft or strong, simply by the stroke of a key.
Getting children interested in music at an early age is easy because of their love of making sounds. Em and Preemie went right for the Schoenhut 18 Key Mini Grand Toy Piano. Playing together they made music that warmed my heart. Em was showing Preemie how to press the keys and even brought Poochi over to teach him too.
Schoenhut Toy Piano
The toy piano is a great starter for small children and is recommend for ages 3 and up. Personally, I feel any child from any age can have fun with this toy piano while being supervised. I am extemely pleased by the quality of the toy piano. Expecting to find it made of plastic, it wasn’t! It’s made from real wood and designed to look like a real grand piano, just smaller for children.
The toy piano has full-width keys, just right for my fingers to be able to play the only notes I know on a keyboard to the tune of Mary Had A Little Lamb. They have a one-and one-half-octave span and is a good foundation for the transition to a larger model as your child grows.
The Schoenhut mini grand is the smallest in the line of toy pianos made and sold by Cascio Interstate Music. It’s a fun and educational piece more valuable than many toys we buy at the toy store. It promotes eye-hand coordination, fine motor skills and develops musical creativity. Contained inside you will find small hammers that strike metal rods that make up the beautiful chime-like tones you hear as your children tap the keys. It includes the Schoenhut’s patented Learning System which is a play by color system to teach little ones how to play.
About the Schoenhut patented Learning System
A removable, color-coordinated strip fits behind the keys to guide small fingers from chord to chord. The corresponding Songbook contains a collection of familiar tunes. This Learning System has been specially designed to build a child’s confidence and develop basic playing skills.
Albert Schoenhut, son of a German toy-making family, established the A Schoenhut Company in 1872 to manufacture toy pianos. As his toy piano business grew, other instruments were added including thumb pianos, melodicas, ukuleles, and guitars.

This piano is adorable and a nice way to get tiny tots interested in playing music! I play a full-size piano for grown-ups!
I love this little piano. It is so cute. I myself play the guitar and banjo.
I think this Mini Grand By Shoenhut is pretty cool! I played the piano in middle school!
I think the Schoenhut Mini Grand Piano is fantastic! I would be great for my grand daughter. Just the right size! No, I never learned to play any musical instruments.
this is nice but you still have to put in money, to me this giveaway isn’t worth it.. I just came from there web site, I can find that piano cheaper on Amazon.. Thanks anyway 🙂
Dorothy, I am sorry to hear that. I do hope you know that the gift card can be used to purchase anything they sell, not just the toy piano.

I didn’t know that, so thanks for clearing that up for me.. and now that I do know I am glad that I have entered 🙂 good luck everyone.. Also I do want to say , I have played drums when I was younger, but I so enjoy listening to someone playing the piano.. Thanks for sharing and hosting this awesome giveaway for us 🙂 @tisonlyme143
I think the Schoenhut mini grand is just what a small child would love to play with and make noise/music. Plus it is made of wood & durable so the risk of them getting hurt is minimal. (Does the cute little baby come with it?)
OH I forgot to answer the second part of the question! I used to play the cello.
I think the mini grand piano by Shoenhut is a wonderful quality item. I have no musical talent and I tried for several years to learn how to play the piano but the music never flowed like it should. Then I had 3 wonderful children and they all had a much better ear for music than me. It has been so wonderful to listen to them learn and go to recitals.
i love the mini grand, i did not play any instruments, but my daughters played the piano and the saxaphone
This is really cute! My husband and I both play the piano and would love to use this to introduce our son to the piano.
There isn’t a daily word for October 31st – what do I do?? I can only see to October 30th – SORRY!!
No worries, it will count. 🙂
I think this is the cutest little thing. Yes I played trumpet, trombone and baritone in school. Don’t much play any more though.
What a cute piano. We are a musical family and it would be great for my grandson, Nolan to be able to be included by playing this piano.
