Coffee. It’s my life line every morning…and sometimes at night too when I am up late working, burning the midnight oil. We make a lot of coffee in our house. Between the espresso machine, the single cup brewer and even instant coffee, we go through A LOT of coffee…and sugar.

Sugar helps to defuse the bitter taste of coffee. I used to enjoy adding flavored creamer, but I never used it often enough and it would expire pretty quickly. One of my favorite flavors is hazelnut – okay it’s probably the only flavor I love added to my coffee. Whenever I am craving hazelnut I ended up having to go out to my local coffee shop for a hazelnut flavored coffee. It gets expensive – and the thought of buying coffee when we have so much of it at home makes my cringe.
