Reindeer Rice Krispy Treats Recipe

Ingredients

– 1 box of Rice Krispy treats, unwrapped
– 2 bags of Ghiradelli milk chocolate melting wafers
– 1 bag of M&M, red ones removed
– 1 package of large edible candy eyes
– 1 package of chocolate fondant
– 1 mini leaf cookie cutter
– 1 cookie sheet fitted with parchment paper

Directions

– Using a double boiler melt both bags of chocolate
– On a cutting board sprinkle some powdered sugar and work with the fondant to loosen it up
– Once the fondant is soft, roll it out onto the cutting board about 1 inch thick
– Using the mini leaf cookie cutter cut out 16 leafs for the antlers and set aside
– Once chocolate is melted, place a Rice Krispy treat into the chocolate and using a fork, flip it over until it is completely coated
– Remove the chocolate covered Rice Krispy treat and lightly tap it on the edge of the pot to remove excess chocolate
– Move the Rice Krispy treat onto cookie sheet and place two edible candy eyes towards the top of the Rice Krispy treat
– Add a red M&M centered under the eyes for the nose
– Place a leaf at the top corners above the eyes for the antlers
– Allow the treat to harden before serving – alternatively place in the fridge for quicker cooling
