I use my iPad for everything. Even when I am cooking, I have it nearby so I can look up and read off ingredients for recipes I have found. Clearly the kitchen is not the safest place for your tablet, especially considering the amount of damage that can occur with one little spill. Luckily the smart folks over at Ultra Pro came up with a clever solution. I was ecstatic to receive a package of 10 sleeves for review, free of charge. Sometimes I am not sure who is more clumsy, myself or my toddler. Obviously she has an excuse, but now I had no worries about her using the iPad for entertainment while she sips on her milk.The Ultra Sleeves are crystal-clear and disposable. They are made from specialized anti-static film and will work with most smart covers and hard cases for extra protection. They also do not interfere with most retina displays or even stylus pens. Protect your investment from fingerprints, smudges, water, sand, scratches and even general wear and tear from daily use or use by children. No more worries if Baby Em’s grabs the iPad and tries to draw on it with crayons! While the Ultra Sleeves are water-resistant, they are not waterproof, so please don’t go running a hose to test it out.
I loved that it did not disrupt my use of the camera or sleep and volume buttons. It also maintained a high level of the touch screen sensitivity, which even my current case does not always do. My wireless and 4G connections stayed just as strong with no disruptions while the sleeve was on. The sleeve has a very close fit with two adhesive closing strips for extra protection. The one con I found was that there is no space/hole for the charger or headphone/speaker jack to be plugged in and used while the sleeve is on. While I would love to recommend a simple fix, like cutting out your own small holes, I can not because I feel this could compromise the safety of your device and the purpose of using the sleeve. However, with its resealable seals, it allows you to open and close the sleeve should you need to charge the battery.
