During my first two pregnancies I never wore maternity clothes. Especially when I was pregnant with J, over 17 years ago, maternity clothing was so plain and boring. I was young and hip, how could I wear plain and boring? Luckily I didn’t gain much weight during this pregnancy and was able to get away with wearing clothes that were just a size or two bigger than what I normally wore.
When I got pregnant with Em I wasn’t any more convinced on the maternity clothing idea. So it was funny when less than two years later during this most recent pregnancy with Baby A PinkBlush Maternity contacted me to review some of their items. With trepidation I decided to check out their website. I was definitely surprised to see trendy maternity clothes! PinkBlush Maternity allowed me to select and graciously sent three items to me, free of charge, for review purposes. Read on to see the gorgeous items I selected and how you can score some free maternity clothes too.
The first piece I chose was the black & white lace chevron dress.
It arrived just in time for me to wear the dress to a Bris, a formal circumcision ceremony of a baby boy. Good thing too because I really had nothing in my closet even remotely close to wearable for such an event. I loved the feel of it. My baby bump looked perfect thanks to the beautiful chevron pattern.
I received so many compliments on the chevron dress that I can’t wait to wear it again. The rounded neckline allowed my necklace to shine bright. The dress made of 100% Polyester with 3/4 sleeves and was just the perfect length reaching about mid thigh. It is also double lined to prevent sheerness. This is definitely a piece that will stay in my wardrobe even beyond pregnancy.
I also received the black flowy overlay top.
What an outstanding shirt! I felt so comfortable in this 95% rayon and 5% spandex shirt, perfect for the growing belly. Between the spandex and flowy overlay I barely even looked pregnant. The fit was superb and I can appreciate that it makes a great casual and evening “going out” dress up top. It can be paired with jeans, a skirt or even a nice pair of slacks. Since hubby occupies most of the closet I love clothes that I can mix and match. The flowy overlay top is a staple piece for every woman’s closet.
The third piece I received was the Mocha Beige striped maxi skirt.
The striped maxi skirt is extra soft and super comfortable. Made from 77% rayon, 19% polyester and 4% spandex. The perks of the maxi skirt is the many ways it is able to be worn. Besides as intended like a skirt, it can totally be worn as a dress too, in different lengths, simply by pulling it up. Living in a warm climate I prefer clothes that don’t make me sweat. This lightweight skirt is just the right fit for day or evening in Miami. Another mix and match item, looks great when worn as a dress and paired with a thin sweater for an evening stroll.
Side note: Initially I selected two other items not listed below, but found that they ran a bit small. I am a woman with curves so shopping online worries me. Without delay or issue I was promptly guided towards selecting two new items, listed below, that would definitely fit without issue. I appreciated the customer service I received and how fast everything was resolved and replaced.
