5 Quick and Easy On the Go Breakfast Ideas

Thank you to Malt-O-Meal® for sponsoring today’s post and reminding us that mornings can be a breeze with On the Go Breakfast Ideas! All opinions are 100% my own.

My mornings are a real drag. Trying to get the girls to school on time is like mission impossible. For starters it’s really my fault, I’m just not a morning person. If I could sleep in late every day I totally would. However, I do understand the importance of making sure the girls eat something in the morning to get their day started off on the right foot – even if their shoes are on the wrong feet. These 5 quick and easy on the go breakfast ideas will hopefully help you get out the door a little faster on slower mornings.

5 Quick and Easy On the Go Breakfast Ideas

The struggle is real. Each and every single morning. When I serve the girls breakfast I always put it in a container they can easily take with them. Even though they usually have plenty of time to eat their breakfast, some days are a bit more rushed than others. Serving their breakfast in a disposable cup or ziploc bag allows them to just take their breakfast with them and continue eating it in the car on the ride to preschool. Some of their – and my, favorite quick and easy on the go breakfast idea options are:

  1. Cereal in a disposable cup or ziploc bag (optional: sippy cup of milk)
  2. Sliced fruit or a banana
  3. Yogurt smoothie or parfait
  4. Waffles
  5. Granola bar

The girls love the Malt-O-Meal® Berry Colossal Crunch. The Crunch. The Flavor. I love it too because it is real delicious and has real value with flavor in every bite. • Sometimes you have to just go – go -go. We are big on waffles (no syrup!) or even Clif Bars and fruit.

  • Malt-o-Meal is a great alternative to the more expensive cereals. My teenage daughter brings some to school in a baggie as a snack.
