The November 2014 box from Citrus Lane hits arrived. This box is one of the two I subscribe to for my girls. This one is for Preemie, and is categorized for a 1-year-old girl.
Boxes start at just $22 per month for a long-term subscription and go up to $29 for a monthly one. If you are interested in signing up, click here and enter code NEWBOX15 to get $15 off your 1st box!
So here is the breakdown from Preemies box for November (Em’s box has arrived and you can read the review here):
Racer from Plan Toys, ARV $12
Zoom Zoom! Your little one will have great fun with this new race car! It has a gently curving design, which is easy for children to hold and push. This colorful, award-winning racer helps develop your child’s fine motor skills and learn about cause and effect. We also like that Plan Toys uses eco-friendly production methods in their wooden toys.
Preemie needs all the developmental toys she can get her hands on. Developing her fine motor skills is important for any child, but especially for preemies that need to “catchup”. I am hopefully she will play with it more than she will try to eat it. Em will surely take it from her to “show” her how it works.
Opposites Board Book from Barefoot Books, ARV $6.99
At this age, your baby may have started babbling or even have a few words. Reading together is a great way to stimulate language development. While she may not say her first words for months, she’s soaking up new words all the time. This beautifully illustrated board book introduces first vocabulary and the concept of opposites.
We love books. LOVE them! I can never get enough books for the girls. They have their own bookshelf that houses their books. Each night they choose a book for bedtime. Books are the best friend a child can ever have. I am always happy to receive a new book to share with the girls.
Super Bib from Bumkins, ARV $6.95
Moms swear by this award-winning bib. It’s made of lightweight odor and stain-resistant fabric in fun patterns and colors that stay bright wash after wash. Between washes, it’s easy to clean, too. Just rinse in the sink and hang up, it will be dry by the next meal. A catchall pocket deals with stray crumbs, and the gentle Velcro closure adjusts as baby grows.
Any mama will tell you that a bib is your best friend. It will save you from extra laundry and impossible to remove stains from your children’s clothing. We never seem to have enough bibs in our house. The cute Cat in the Hat design is a big plus and definitely an eye catcher. There isn’t a meal that goes by that doesn’t end up everywhere it isn’t supposed to.
Divided Plate from Bumkins, ARV $6.95
We love Bumkins bibs, and thought our moms and babies would appreciate this adorable coordinating plate. Brand new, they’re divided into multiple sections to keep foods separate in portions perfectly sized for little eaters. Safe to put into the dishwashers (top shelf recommended) but not recommended for microwave use.
I really love that they included this matching Cat in the Hat plate to go along with the bib. With Preemie finally reaching the self-feeding and real food stage, this will be great for teaching her about different food groups. Crossing my fingers that Em’s box comes quickly so Preemie doesn’t lose her stuff to her bigger sister.
Also included was an offer for Tiny Print for 25% off + free shipping.
All told, the approximate retail value for this box is $32.89. As a one time purchase, this box would have cost $29. Having gotten the box for only $16 at my subscription rate, I definitely won out on this one and even discovered some new products. And if you want, you can try out your first box for only over half off too! Use code NEWBOX15 and get your first box for $15 off.
Let me tell you a little secret. I did receive additional coupon codes to be used on all the above mentioned products in their respective online stores. That does add some extra value to the box, but we won’t know how much until and if I use those codes.
