Miami is known for beautiful weather, beaches and the hottest dance moves. South Florida is getting their chance to show them off in the #BailaConCoke dance competition!!!! Do your children love to dance??? Are they between the ages of 14 and 19 and currently enrolled in high school or college? Here’s their chance to show how the world that they’ve got the moves to win it big for a worthy cause while taking center stage at Calle Ocho!
Who: High School & College students ages 14-19 in South Florida – Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward, Palm Beach, Glades, or Collier County
What: Coca-Cola’s Comparte el Movimiento dance competition #BailaConCoke
When: Now through February 15, 2015
Where: Calle Ocho – The biggest street festival in Miami!
Why: To inspire South Florida’s youth to move to a lively Latin beat and get active – both physically and in their communities for a chance to win $3,000 to be presented to a cause of their choice – be it a charity, organization or school!
All participants – dance teams of two (2) to six (6) members – must create a dance routine (with three signature dance moves) to the official contest theme song, “Let Fun Take Control,” by Latino duo NorthRock 360, of no less than 60 seconds and no longer than 120 seconds. Throughout its more than 128-year history, Coca-Cola has played a role in many important moments in the community. “This is much more than just a dance competition. This is a chance for young people to dance for a cause that moves them and create moments of happiness that bring people together, all while helping the community,” said Lillian Rodriguez Lopez, vice president, Sustainability and Stakeholder Relations, The Coca-Cola Company. “Get up, grab your friends, get moving and #BailaConCoke! Be a part of the movimiento.”
Participants are encouraged to use the #BailaConCoke to spread the word and share their cause as five finalists will be selected and posted for public voting starting March 1, 2015. The program will culminate on March 15. The three finalists with the most public votes will have the opportunity to perform live on the Coca-Cola stage during the much-anticipated Calle Ocho Festival. A panel of judges will select a winner at the live event, and the winning team will have the opportunity to direct $3,000 to support a community cause of their choice. The first and second runner-up will receive $1,000 and $500 for their cause.

For those who are musically talented, there is another opportunity to Share the Stage with Coca-Cola. Coca-Cola has been a major sponsor of the Calle Ocho Festival for nearly 40 years. Throughout its history, Coca-Cola has featured many world-renowned musicians and bands on its stage. This year, the Company wants to give up-and-coming bands a chance to perform live on the Coca-Cola Stage. Bands can register at the link below and submit a link of their band performance by February 16. Four bands will be selected to perform live on Sunday, March 15 at Calle Ocho.
