Kinky Boots at The Broward Center through March 13, 2016

Kinky Boots is back! After a stellar performance just a few short months ago at the Arsht Center, the national touring cast of Kinky Boots is back for an encore in South Florida at The Broward Center for the Performing Arts through March 13, 2016. You can read the write up I did on Kinky Boots for their performance in December.

Kinky Boots is a powerful performance which takes you on a journey of friendship, inspiration, finding yourself, and accepting others for who they are.

About Kinky Boots

Inspired by true events, Kinky Boots takes you from a gentlemen’s shoe factory in Northampton to the glamorous catwalks of Milan. Charlie Price is struggling to live up to his father’s expectations and continue the family business of Price & Son. With the factory’s future hanging in the balance, help arrives in the unlikely but spectacular form of Lola, a fabulous performer in need of some sturdy new stilettos.

The parental guidance lists this show as appropriate for children ages 8 and up. Kinky Boots runs for 2 hours and 20 minutes, which includes one (1) twenty-minute intermission. Food, snacks and beverages are available for purchase. Food is not permitted inside the theatre for this performance.

Ticket prices start at $30. There are several shows left to choose from, including a few matinee options, with the last show on March 13, 2016. Kinky Boots is playing at the The Broward Center for the Performing Arts which is located at 201 SW Fifth Avenue, Ft Lauderdale, FL, 33312. Tickets are available for purchase or by calling the Box Office at 954.462.0222. Be sure to visit for details about upcoming Broadway shows coming to South Florida!

A Broadway workshop for students will be held for Kinky Boots on March 12, 2016 at 11:30AM in the JM Family Studio Theater. The workshop is recommended for students ages 12-18 and is free. The workshop will include an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at national touring productions with members of the cast and crew in a one-hour lively exchange. • I loved this film and had no idea they’d made a musical of it! At the moment I’m performing in Oliver! in our local little theatre and just adore musicals!
