The Caboose VaryLight is a tandem stroller with comfort and safety at the forefront of its offerings. I received my Joovy Caboose VaryLight a day before I was headed to NYC alone with my two girls, ages 9 mo and 2.5 yo then. I was actually planning on just taking a lightweight umbrella type stroller figuring I would manage so long as at least one was seated. Juggling two little ones through an airport is no easy task. I was extremely grateful that I brought the VaryLight along. As is almost always the case with us, we were running late for our flight. There is no way we would have made it had it not been for the VaryLight. With Em in the rear seat and Preemie snug in the front, I hurried through the terminal with a skycap who had taken pity on us.

I was able to put our diaper bag in the basket, along with my bag and a lunch box with ease, and the basket even extends for more space. At the bridge I transferred Preemie into a carrier and effortlessly folded the Caboose VaryLight with just one hand. We ended up using the stroller everyday of our trip. It was great for napping (front seat), and I even caught Em asleep in the back once when the stroller was fully extended, which takes less than 20 seconds to do! We took it to the park, shopping, in cabs, to the museum, it really helped to get us moving around the city.

Opening and folding it, while holding or carrying the baby was easy because you don’t have to remove any seats to do so. Lifting the Caboose VaryLight wasn’t a problem as it is much lighter than our other double stroller. The wheels are sturdy and were able to handle the “mean” streets of NYC with ease. The stroller also doubled as a feeding seat for Preemie since we didn’t have a high-chair with us. Em loved having the option to be able to sit on the rear bench or stand like a big girl. The VaryLight can also be used from birth with an infant seat, you just need an adapter. Big benefit for not having to wake babies when moving them in and out of the car.
