With J-bird leaving for college just two short months, I am starting to feel anxious. I am so proud of his accomplishments in life and excited that he will be attending my Alma Mater. However, he will be about 1200 miles from home doing so.

All the creature comforts he has enjoyed at home will not be following him. He’ll need to do his own laundry, clean up after himself and make sure that he’s on time to class without mom checking in on him. My first-born is leaving the nest.
