When the Chai trend came around I was surprised to learn that many of my friends had never had a Chai Latte. Maybe it’s a Russian thing, but growing up we always added milk to our tea. I’ve been a TAZO® fan for a long time, my favorite go to drink had always been the Passion Tea. But the new TAZO® Chai Latte flavors which introduce sweet and spicy to my palette with every sip is really something else. It’s rich and creamy, made from tea leaves, spices and milk!
What is a Chai Latte?
Chai introduces you to a bit of sweet and spicy, the perfect black tea blend. It’s been around for ages, dating back in Indian history to over 5,000 years ago. It’s warm and inviting, comforting and relaxing, just like visiting with an old friend. A Chai Latte adds milk to the combination for a unique creamy and rich flavor.
How to Make a Chai Latte in Two Easy Steps
Making a hot cup of Chai Latte is now easier than ever, right in the comfort of your own home using your Keurig® brewer and the new TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods. And you know it’s gotta be out of this world amazing since Padma Lakshmi is the brand spokesperson for the TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods. What makes Padma the perfect person to introduce the world to chai is that much like myself, tea and chai have always been a part of Padma’s life. I really love that we both share a family heritage of chai and I am just as excited as she is to celebrate the flavors of chai with TAZO®.
The TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods come with everything you need to make a perfect cup of Chai Latte.
Step 1: Pour sweetened dairy packet into your empty cup.
Step 2: Brew a TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pod using the 8 0z. setting.
Stir well and enjoy!
Sitting down with my hot cup of TAZO® Chai Latte was refreshing, and a beautiful introduction to my senses as I sipped on flavors of sweet cinnamon and spicy ginger, while inhaling the aroma of fragrant cardamom, caramel and vanilla. There was something special about these flavors, something that took me back to my childhood kitchen, sitting with my mama and enjoying quiet conversation over chai lattes. Now I enjoy them when winding down in the evening with a good book in hand.
What can you pair with a cup of chai? Padma Lakshmi created the perfect pairing recipes which you can recreate by visiting TAZO.com/chai/pairings. You can purchase TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods at most local grocery stores – for a location near you, check TAZO.com/wheretobuy.
