Growing up in NYC the holiday season was always a magical time of the year. Mama would always take me into Manhattan to ice skate on the rink at Rockefeller Plaza, see the lights come on the tree, and sometimes even catch a show at Radio City Music Hall. Living in Miami we don’t get to see much holiday spirit just by being outdoors, so I am always looking for a holiday experience to enjoy with my girls. That’s why this weekend my family is headed to Aventura Mall with Santa! We’ve been invited to welcome Santa as he arrives on Saturday, November 14, 2016 and so are you! The holiday magic will begin with a performance of “Christmas Dreams” by Cirque Dreams outside of Santa’s Workshop promptly at 6pm and it’s FREE. It’s going to be a magical experience filled with holiday cheer and celebrations surrounding the new 60-foot tall holiday display.
If you’ve ever seen the holiday display at Aventura Mall with Santa then you know how absolutely gorgeous it is. Transform your surroundings from the palm trees and sunny weather outside to a winter wonderland inside with SNOW. With more than 4,000 LED globes that will simulate falling snow, blowing wind, and accumulating snowfall the new holiday display is sure to put you in the festive mood. Bring the entire family for a jolly good time you won’t soon forget.
If you aren’t able to make it in person, be sure to follow along on Periscope via @mamasmission where I will be live broadcasting from Aventura Mall with Santa for his arrival and more.
Kids of all ages will enjoy the interactive show by Cirque Dreams and be amazed by Santa’s Workshop. Aventura Mall with Santa’s Workshop display will feature 10-foot mirror–mosaic gift boxes, two cuddly 10-foot teddy bears and an elaborate light and sound show! See the storybook 19th century sleigh pulled by eight reindeer, several 13-foot colorfully striped candy canes, and two classic English-style rocking horses. Be sure to experience the immersive three-dimensional LED “snowfall” experience near Nordstrom and the exterior “Illumination” with nearly one million glistening lights.
Come and join me for the big reveal at Aventura Mall with Santa’s holiday display with also includes a rotating 14-point Millennium Star sits atop Santa’s Workshop and his throne is adorned with giant gold leaf ornaments and four 12-foot toy soldiers in full regalia. Every hour, an elaborate, five-minute holiday light and sound show will delight guests. Back again this year is the always popular Aventura’s Model Train Station, it is an incredible sight to see.
