Hamilton at the Arsht Center
HAMILTON is the epic saga that follows the rise of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton as he fights for honor, love, and a legacy that would shape the course of a nation. Based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography and set to a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and Broadway, HAMILTON has had a profound impact on culture, politics and education.
HAMILTON features book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire. In addition to its 11 Tony Awards, it has won Grammy®, Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.
The HAMILTON creative team previously collaborated on the 2008 Tony Award ® Winning Best Musical IN THE HEIGHTS. BROADWAY ON BISCAYNE: REVOLUTIONARY RHYTHMS
Join us Thursday, March 14 for a preshow celebration of the music and themes of Hamilton with libations, lectures and lyrics! Beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Peacock Foundation Studio, learn about the influence of hip-hop in the show with a captivating lecture by Wayne Bumpers, an esteemed music professor at Miami-Dade College, followed by a Q and A with a member of the cast.
Enjoy live music at 7 p.m. on the Thomson Plaza for the Arts by New Canon Chamber Collective, a South Florida ensemble featuring Black musicians from a spectrum of classical arts. Plus, grab a sample of Freedom Ale from Biscayne Bay Brewery and raise a glass to freedom during the national anthem and color guard presentation. Admission is free with a ticket to that evening’s performance of Hamilton.

Tickets for each performance will be sold to winners of the online lottery drawing for just $10 each. Tickets are $10 with a limit of 2 per person.
