The holidays are going to be keeping you busy as you prepare for big events with your family. Most of that time will be spent indoors getting things ready. Which is why spending some outdoor time with the family is equally as important during these busy weeks ahead.
If you are looking for something fun to do with the family there are lots of events that will be happening between now and the new year. One of those events is just around the corner and is going to be the talk of the town.
Shenandoah Park just renovated their playground and added new outdoor exercise equipment. Everyone is invited to a Family Field Day being sponsored by Coca-Cola filled with lots of fun and entertaining interactive experiences. Best of all, it’s a FREE event for the family!
The event will be taking place on Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 10 am – 2 pm at Shenandoah Park, 1800 SW 21st Ave, Miami, FL 33145. Your family is encouraged to participate in a day full of fun with new and nostalgic games and activities:
- Potato Sack
- Six-legged Races
- Hula Hoop Challenges
There will also be dancing, music and much more!
There will also be a Health Fair with community health and wellness organizations on hand to share educational information. With a special guest visit from Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado!
The new improvements to the park were made possible through Coca-Cola’s partnership with Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado, The City of Miami and City of Miami Department of Parks and Recreation to further the company’s mission to create safe environments for families and friends to enjoy being active together. A family that plays together, laughs more often.
