Since the beginning of 2016 I’ve put out into the universe what I want to accomplish this year. One of those things was to attend any of the media events surrounding the upcoming Alice Through The Looking Glass movie – and it’s HAPPENING! I’ve been invited by Disney on an all-expense paid trip to L.A. for very special Disney hosted blogger event! Not only will I be attending an early screening of the film, but I am doing it at the official Alice Through The Looking Glass Premiere…IN HOLLYWOOD!!! Blessed, yes totally! Lucky, yes totally. Me and 24 very blessed and lucky bloggers are headed to L.A. on May 22nd to walk the Red Carpet at the Premiere of Alice Through The Looking Glass and I am taking you with me!!! > INSERT EXCITED SCREAMS HERE < Well, sort of taking you…all you need to do is follow along on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #ThroughTheLookingGlassEvent and it will be just like as if you are there with us.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, with the never aging Johnny Depp, so I ordered a copy on (affiliate link) Amazon so that I could refresh my mind, and take a trip down memory lane. I’ve saved a copy of the animated version of Alice in Wonderland in my shopping cart for purchase next week for the girls. They’ve never seen it before, and I think I was just about Emily’s age the first time I saw it.

I’ve been an Alice fan since I was just a little girl. Watching her on the screen brought her out to life for me, even more so when I was able to finally read the book. What an amazing journey and experience. As I’ve gotten older I’ve fallen in love with the Red Queen – there is just something about her, maybe her bossiness?, that I find so relatable. In fact, I have an original Red Queen art piece that was draw on canvas and hangs in my bedroom, stay tuned because I’ll be sharing photos of it soon.

In addition to walking the Red Carpet we will also be interviewing cast members and filmmakers! I am secretly hoping we will have the chance to meet and interview Pink, whose Just Like Fire music video was just released. Alice steps Through The Looking Glass and into theaters on May 27, 2016.

But that’s not all!!! While in L.A. for Alice, we’ll also be celebrating the in-home release of Zootopia. If you haven’t had a chance to see Zootopia yet, what are you waiting for??? Oh, the DVD release, I gotcha! Well, you are in luck because Zootopia is arriving to Bluray (including 3D) & Digital HD on June 7th and you can even pre-order it now on Amazon with a price guarantee.

Emily really loved seeing Zootopia in theaters, and can’t wait to see it again. I have a bunch of Zootopia stuffed animals I am waiting to give to the girls once the DVD arrives. Over the summer we will be studying all kinds of animals, so I am planning some fun learning around the release of Zootopia. We’ll be interviewing members of the creative team behind the making of the movie including Directors Byron Howard & Rich Moore and Raymond Persi (Story Artist at Walt Disney Animation Studios and the voice of “Flash”) and even get a chance to step into the recording booth and voice a character from the film! OMG…Who do I choose??? I’m thinking either Judy Hopps or Flash <– learn to draw them.
