It’s football season and that means there will be more friendly home tailgating get-togethers at my house. What’s a home tailgate you ask? Simple, it’s everything you would do while tailgating at a game, but in the comfort of your own home! There are three super easy steps to successfully throwing a home tailgating party.
3 SUPER EASY Steps To A Successful Home Tailgating Party
- Create your shopping list – Don’t forget the King’s Hawaiian Sweet Slider Rolls – stay tuned for my upcoming recap featuring my #KHGameTime recipe that is sure to score a touchdown with guests!!!
- Head to Walmart – well, because they have EVERYTHING you need for food and home tailgating supplies!
- Feed your guests until buttons on pants come undone – this is a surefire way to know everyone is happy…and full!
The only way that this would be easier for you was if you just came over to my house on any given Sunday! But seriously, at the top of my “Homegate or Homegating” Home Tailgating grocery list for football Sundays is always King’s Hawaiian Sweet Slider Rolls. They are the perfect complement to so many dishes, and not just on the sidelines, but as the Quarterback of the dish! Of course there will always be the traditional staple drinks and foods such as soda, water, chips, etc., but nothing beats a WOW THEM finger friendly menu item.
As a seasoned host, the key to everyone’s happiness during football no matter the score is good food. Since there is no time for knives and forks when your team is in the Red Zone, sliders are the perfect food for stuffing your face in the heat of the moment. Tease time: I’ll be making bacon wrapped pork sliders…just the thought of these is making my mouth water already. The crisp flavor of bacon, wrapped around the subtle flavor of pork, and enveloped in the perfect sweet package of a King’s Hawaiian Sweet Slider Roll. Here’s a tissue, wipe that drool off and stop by in a few weeks to see how the pork sliders came out, and to download the recipe for your next home tailgating party!
Save time and money by making one stop this weekend at your local Walmart where you can find all your Game Day Home Tailgating essentials, most importantly King’s Hawaiian buns and rolls to score with your fans at the next game! Get recipe and game-time tips by following along on social media with #KHGameTime!

King’s Hawaiian rolls were always a special treat for us growing up. They hold a special place in my heart and remind me of down home dinners with my whole family crowded around the dinner table (although I was usually stuck at the kiddie table well into my late teens).
I love this bread. I hardly ever buy it because I will eat it all so fast; LOL
I had never heard of a home tailgating party, what a great idea! Thanks for this!
I love King’s Hawaiian breads! My youngest nephew is 6 & he will just keep eating these as long as you let him, lol.
These are so good. My grandson loves these. He would eat the whole pack at one time if I allowed him to do this. Thank you for sharing this great, tasty product
