Dreft Safe Guards Your Baby’s Sensitive Skin #Giveaway #DreftHypo

Disclosure: This is part of a sponsored collaboration with Latina Mom Bloggers and Dreft. All opinions are 100% mine.

When J-bird was born we lived in New York City. As a baby his skin was so soft and new that I wanted to make sure I didn’t damage it. I washed his clothes separately from my own and took great care in what he was exposed to. I was introduced to Dreft over 18 years ago by my pediatrician and used it religiously until J-bird was about two years old. Then I switched to using regular detergent and that is when I noticed a difference in his skin.

His skin didn’t seem as soft and smooth as it once had been. From time to time he even started to itch. I didn’t realize right away what the problem was and took him to the pediatrician. The first question I was asked by the doctor was “Have you made any changes to the way you wash his clothing?” BINGO!!!! I can’t believe I hadn’t thought of that myself.

New York City cold weather seasons didn’t help any and simply made his skin even more sensitive. Dreft is a hypoallergenic detergent that has been a trust source for over 80 years, and is tough on stains, yet gentle on your baby’s sensitive skin. Switching back to Dreft instantly helped to ease J-bird’s sensitive skin in ways that brought relief to both him and I.

Colder weather is just around the corner and it’s important to shield your baby’s sensitive and delicate skin. Living in Miami we don’t see a lot of cold weather, but we are in air conditioning all day. The cold air constantly circulating throughout the house means the girls have to be kept warm and dressed appropriately, even indoors. At night we dress the girls up in footed pajamas to keep them cozy and warm all night long.

Raising two little girls now I want to ensure their delicate and sensitive skin stays safeguarded from skin irritating chemicals found in most regular laundry detergent. I continue to use Dreft on all the girls clothes thanks in part to the lessons I learned early on with J-bird.

Children wear clothing all day long. They sit, climb, crawl, eat and really put their clothing through serious usage, rubbing their delicate skin against the clothing constantly. This exposes them to a great risk of skin irritation from harsh chemicals that can get trapped in clothing fibers. By using Dreft you can be sure that eliminate these allergens and shelter you baby’s sensitive skin.

To combat the stains that come with feeding and crawling, Dreft’s stain remover is the perfect match. It comes in two sizes, for the home and on the go. Preemie is all over the place and her clothes show it. You can always tell if she’s just eaten or been playing. No more worries about messes even on the go with the to-g0 stain remover spray. Adults can use it to, and I do, to remove evidence of Preemie starting a food fight with me. I keep it with us at all times in her diaper bag because sometimes I can get messy too while eating.

dreft all purpose wipes

Toys come in as a close second of objects that your children come into contact with daily. Dreft makes household products to help keep your toys and surfaces clean too, without any harmful chemicals, using the same skin preserving formula as you can find in their detergent. All purpose wipes made by Dreft that can be used on toys, high chairs, cribs and anything else your children’s skin comes into contact with. Great for a quick and easy clean up.

dreft odor eliminator and fabric refresher spray

Your child’s car-seat has seen it all. I know ours has. From food to drinks, and unknown odors, keeping it smelling fresh is near impossible unless you are into the process of constantly stripping the car seat to clean it. The Dreft odor eliminator spray allows you to safely remove those pesky smells and keep your child’s car seat smelling like brand new. It’s safe to use on changing pads, bedding and any other fabric material, like your diaper bag.

  • My youngest daughter has sensitive skin and I can’t stand anything with perfume so I always choose products that are perfume and dye free. Layers are key to bundling and make sure they are breathable fabrics.
