Double-Dipping At Winn-Dixie Doubles Your Savings! #WD2xdip #Giveaway

Cooking for and feeding a family of five is no easy feat. Especially during the holidays when our numbers double at the very least. With J-bird returning for his first holiday back home and to celebrate his 18th birthday, we will be feasting like Kings and Queens this week.

This Thanksgiving I will be cooking for at least 10 people, which will likely end up being more like 20. Immediately following Thanksgiving is J-birds 18th birthday and we are hosting a special get together for him and his friends. We will be pulling out the grill and cooking up a storm all week-long it seems.

With several local supermarkets to choose from, I prefer shopping at Winn-Dixie around the holidays because of all their great deals, like 2 for 1 and fuel rewards. From time to time they run extra specials which allow you to not only maximize your savings, but do some double-dipping too!

Now at Winn Dixie you can double your savings, earning 4 x fuel and extra credit card rewards when you buy gift cards. You can then use those gift cards like cash when you do your shopping this Black Friday or gift them to your loved ones. I send J-bird gift cards in his care packages for spending money when deals like this come around.

Add Up The Savings

Here’s how the double-dip Fuel offer will work at Winn-Dixie:
Through 11/26, get 40₵ off per gallon of gas for every $50 gift card purchase! ALL gift cards are included except Visa, MasterCard and American Express gift cards. Any “Variable” gift cards from the participating brands count too, and you can add any amount you want up to $500! (Head to the store for full details.)

Here’s how to maximize and receive extra credit card rewards:
By using your favorite rewards credit card to purchase gift cards, you can earn points, miles or a percentage back on your purchase. Some credit cards even offer increased rewards for purchases made at grocery!

Here’s an example of the kind of overall savings you can receive by simply purchasing a gift card at Winn-Dixie during this promotion:

Let’s see how you can save 15% when you purchase $50 in participating gift cards:
$6 off fuel: When you buy a $50 gift card you earn 40₵/gallon of gas. That’s $6 in savings for a 15 gallon tank!
$1.50 back: If you earn 3% on grocery purchases through your credit card rewards program.

That’s a total extra savings of $7.50 just for buying a gift card that you will in turn use up for the holidays and your shopping!

Is there anything you will be shopping for this holiday season? How can the extra savings help you out?
