There is nothing more frustrating or worrisome than calling or texting your child and not hearing back from them! And I am not talking about 5 or 10 minutes, but long enough that you actually begin to worry that something may have happened to them.

My friend TifDip shared this awesome article with me today about a mom in Houston who simply had enough. Once she realized that her kids were safe but simply weren’t responding, she decided to do something about it. She set out to create an app that would disable their phone, right from her phone.

After months of testing and development, the Ignore No More App arrived. All mom has to do now is click on the app, select the corresponding child’s phone for shut off, enter a password, confirm the password, and select lock (insert child’s name here) phone. How awesome is that?

But don’t worry, if the child needs to, they can still call 911 at anytime. To have their phone re-enabled the child simply has to call one of the pre-approved contacts to retrieve the pass-code. Pure GENIUS!!!

The Ignore No More app is available for Android phones on Google Play for only $1.99. An iPhone version is currently in the works. I can’t wait for it to be released!
