It’s been pretty chilly in Miami lately. So much so that I haven’t been using the AC very much, if at all. I suppose I know why, Disney On Ice Frozen is in town and our family was fortunate to be invited to see it first hand! I guess South Florida wanted to ensure that Elsa could arrive here safely. Disney On Ice presents Frozen has been on tour across the country for some time now, and it’s finally blown into South Florida.
Disney On Ice Frozen in South Florida
Our little princesses love seeing their favorite Disney Princesses and the new Queen on the big screen and on replay. And now they’ve seen it live in person! Fortunately for us Disney On Ice happens to bring a show to town every spring, just in time to help us celebrate Em’s birthday. We had plans to visit Walt Disney World this month, but our Disney budget is falling short, which makes a Disney On Ice show the perfect treat! I’m relieved to know that I can absolutely make it up to the girls with a spectacular line up of characters in our own backyard.
We’ve seen several Disney On Ice shows in the last few years, each with its own story line like Treasure Trove and Let’s Celebrate. So what makes Disney On Ice Frozen different? It’s familiar yet refreshing, spectacular and amazing, all at once! You’ll be able to sing along easily to your favorite songs like “Do you want to build a snowman?” and “Let It Go”, but you’ll also get a chance to see some new additions to the story line that will keep you laughing throughout.
Feld Entertainment puts on the Disney On Ice productions and does a magical job of capturing not just the story lines, but the essence of the characters. Anna and Elsa are live and in person to retell their magical Frozen story, while gliding, running and doing twists and turns on the ice. I’ve always been a huge fan of ice skating so I really enjoy seeing a performance on ice. As if being an actor isn’t a tough job in itself, the cast does an outstanding job and performing on the ice. From Olaf’s full on snowman costume to Sven’s incredible synchronized glide across the ice, the entire show from start to finish captured and entranced the girls.
As soon as the show finished Em immediately declared that she wanted to see the show again…like if it could just restart right that second she would sit and watch it again. Normally I would likely tell her to Let It Go, but even I want to see it again! Be ready for a magical time with all the Disney friends. It’s always extra magical when special guests like Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, and get ready to see lots of your favorite Disney Princesses too!
Before any Disney On Ice show, our skaters always take time to warm up. We’re excited to get your singing voice and your dancing shoes warmed up for the show with the Stonyfield YoKids and Disney Magic of Healthy Living Dance-Along Pre-Show. Hosted by Mickey and Minnie, with special appearances by beloved Disney Princesses and characters from favorites like Disney•Pixar’s Toy Story, Finding Nemo and Disney’s The Lion King.
