Movie Review – Coco

In Disney Pixar’s Coco now available on Blu-ray, you’ll find love, family, honor, tradition, and so much more. Coco tells the story of a 12 year old boy named Miguel, voiced by Anthony Gonzalez, who loves music – but music has been forbidden in his family, ever since his father left. Miguel is determined to follow his dreams and once he picks up the guitar of the famed idol Ernesto de la Cruz he is transported to the Land of the Dead. There he meets Héctor and is encourage to pursue his musical dreams in exchange for help getting Héctor’s photo placed on the ofrenda during the celebration of Day of the Dead so that Héctor will not be forgotten. Coco inspires everyone to celebrate Día de los Muertos in always honoring your ancestors and brings families together. During his journey, Miguel finds that not everything is always as it seems, and discovers the real story behind his family history. Come explore the Mexican traditions of Día de los Muertos – and take this unforgettable journey with Miguel!

Celebrity Tour – Héctor, a Land of the Dead tour bus guide, agrees to help Miguel, revealed to be a living boy, on his quest to find de la Cruz.
The Bus Escape – The Rivera family catches up to Miguel and Héctor and attempts to halt their mission to find de la Cruz.
Alebrije Attack – Miguel and Héctor are interrupted on their journey to find de la Cruz by a fierce alebrije.
