The December 2014 box from Citrus Lane has arrived. This box is one of the two I subscribe to for my girls. This one is for Preemie, and is categorized for a 15 month-old girl.
Boxes start at just $22 per month for a long-term subscription and go up to $29 for a monthly one. If you are interested in signing up, click here and enter code FRIEND to get 50% off your 1st box!
So here is the breakdown from Preemie’s box for December 2014. You can see the contents of Em’s box here.
Scrappy Cat from Under the Nile, ARV $14 – or a Scrappy Dog for $10.45 via Amazon
This sweet kitten was made just for Citrus Lane by Under the Nile. Part of the “scrappys” collection, made from 100% Egyptian Organic Cotton scraps left over from clothing production, so not only are they adorable but they’re also incredibly unique and help reduce wasteful production. What’s not to love?
Cute, adorable, and AB loves it. She can cuddle with it without me worrying too much. The idea behind it is adorable, but it’s kind of pricey for a scrap toy.
Counting Stacker from Hape Toys , ARV $9.99 – $8.50 via Amazon
We like how the Counting Stacker is a toy that can grow with baby. First, encourage fine motor skills with simple stacking into towers. Later, encourage sorting the pieces to help teach colors and develop counting skills. Talk about tall and short or big and small while comparing the stacks. This learning toy will help to provide hours of fun while developing little minds.
The girls are really going to enjoy playing with this one. With its multifunctional purpose, both
Little Pea from Chronicle Books, ARV $7.99 ($6.89 on Amazon for pre-order + price guarantee)
Getting babies to try new things and eat healthy foods can be a challenge. This book turns the typical story on its head – Little Pea is always trying to eat healthy foods, while his parents try to convince him to eat all of his sweets. Your baby may not yet appreciate the humor, but will engage with the sweet illustrations while you chuckle at the unique story.
Turns out this book is not yet available for sale, pre-order only. Very cool and well-played CL. We really love books. The girls library continues to grow monthly, between books we receive in our subscription boxes as well as from the Jewish Library. This one is much more reasonably priced compared to the ARV on the book that came with Em’s box.
Super Blends from Love Child Organics, ARV $1.67 ea x 2 ($9.99 for a 6 pack at Amazon)
We’re excited to introduce you to a new food brand this month. Love Child Organics was started by a husband and wife team who were inspired by their two children. All ingredients are 100% organic and non-GMO, and the delicious blends of simple fruits and veggies have an added punch of protein to keep little tummies feeling full.
We received two flavors to try of this and it didn’t last past snack time. The girls each had a pouch and gobbled it down quicker than I could get a taste. I guess you can say the current market has just gotten some more competition. A bit pricier than I like to pay for the pouches I buy, but close enough to general retail. I’d be willing to purchase them on sale.
All told, the approximate retail value for this box is $35. As a one time purchase, this box would have cost $29. Having gotten the box for only $16 at my subscription rate, I still won out on this one and even discovered some new products. And if you want, you can try out your first box for only over half off too! Use code Friend and get your first box for 50% off.
Let me tell you a little secret. I did receive additional coupon codes to be used on all the above mentioned products in their respective online stores. That does add some extra value to the box, but we won’t know how much until and if I use those codes.
