The June 2014 box from Citrus Lane has arrived. Well, actually it arrived last week, I peeked inside, and hid it until I could take pictures before letting Em get a hold of it. As I mentioned, this box arrived for Em, and is categorized for a 2-year-old girl.
Papa got this subscription for me, I mean for Em as a holiday gift. We have benefited from a special which makes each box cost us only $16 per month. If you are interested in signing up, click here to and use code SAVEHALF to get 50% off your 1st box!
So here is the breakdown from Em’s box for June (I hope to get Preemies box posted shortly):
Disney Wet Bag from Bumkins, ARV $10.95
Bumkins Wet Bags are a versatile storage solution! Made from Bumkins lightweight, durable, machine washable waterproof fabric, featuring heat-sealed seams for true waterproof protection! Ideal for cloth diapering parents but also the perfect bag or carrying dirty clothes, shoes, swimwear and much more. These bags are also PVC, BPA, Phthalate, Vinyl and Lead free.
We already have a wet bag which was custom-made for us to match Em’s diaper bag. But as tonight proved, one can never have enough wet bags. Em starts camp in the morning and will need a wet bag for water fun, and of course I couldn’t find the one we have, so perfect timing on the arrival of this one.
Pouch Puzzle from Mudpuppy, ARV $10.95
12 Piece Puzzles are perfect for toddler playtime. Extra-thick pieces are ideal for small hands and it is fun to zip and unzip the colored zipper of the puzzle’s reusable plastic storage pouch.
We love to do puzzles. The last puzzle we bought started falling apart on us. I think all puzzles should be heavily reinforced against the random bends of toddlers. I am hopefully that these extra-thick pieces will stand up to the brutal force that Em hands down when trying to connect the pieces.
Zoo Straw Bottle from Skip Hop, ARV $6
A major milestone for toddler is when she is ready to move on from sippy cups. The Zoo Straw Bottle helps ease this transition by giving little ones a “big-kid cup” with the protection of a flip-top lid. Dishwasher-safe; also comes with an extra straw.
We <3 Skip Hop! I really love their kid friendly animal character collections. We currently have a Ladybug suit case (bought it from the Citrus Lane shop) and a Bumble Bee lunch bag (received in a previous box), I don’t know about toddler transitions as Em has been using a straw cup for a long time now. She’s onto learning to drink “slowly” from a regular cup now. But, nonetheless, this bottle looks like a great piece for travel, so it’s a keeper.
Mighty 4 Bars from Plum Organics, ARV $5 for a 6ct box
Mighty 4™ essential nutrition bars are baked with whole grains, fruit and veggie goodness, and a touch of yogurt. These delicious bars pack a mighty punch with 11 essential vitamins and minerals and chia. And they’re sized just right, so your little on-the-go eater can snack mighty anytime!
These look great. I haven’t seen this line in the Plum Organics section, or maybe I missed it. I actually left one out for Em to have for breakfast. They are filled with lots of yummy goodness. We are already big Plum Organics fans, so these will fit right into her breakfast and snack schedules.
Special Offer from Third Love, ARV $20 but not really….
Included in the box was a postcard with a special offer from Third Love. It appears to be a bra online specialty store. There was some mention about an app you can use for fittings in the privacy of your own home. They are offering $20 off a purchase of $40 or more. I checked out the site briefly. Unfortunately they do not carry bras in my size, they only go up to a 38c.
I hope they weren’t including this discount into the value of the box, because there is nothing for me to buy, well, panties, but who needs $21 panties, even if it will only cost me half.
All told, the value I see in the box is $35.90, like I said, not counting the above $20 off offer. As a one time purchase, this box would have cost $29. Having gotten the box for only $16 at my subscription rate, I definitely won out on this one. And if you want, you can try out your first box for only $15 too! Use code SAVEHALF and click here to get your first box for 50% off.
But I will tell you a little secret. I did receive additional coupon codes to be used in all the above mentioned products online stores. That does add some value to the box, but we won’t know how much until and if I use those codes.
