Reading has always been an important part of my life. I would spend hours upon hours at the library, and then at home, reading book after book. For the baby shower my friend hosted for Emily’s arrival, she suggested guests bring books in place of greeting cards, inscribing their thoughts inside.

Summer just started but I can’t seem to get back to school off my mind. Both girls will be in school before I know it and I’m ready to get all my back to school supplies shopping done. If you are tired of the kids losing things, then labeling them is the right way to go. But I really don’t like using markers, so I’ve turned to name labels or stickers.
Mom guilt is real. It’s real when you find yourself in a position of having to work to provide for your family and can’t volunteer at your child’s school. It’s real when you have turn down the opportunity to help your kids teacher on a field trip day. It’s real when you can’t be there during working hours even though work is the last place you want to be. But it doesn’t have to be, and you can help in so many other ways.
