Even at a young age, the importance of volunteering was instilled in me by my mama. My first volunteer job was spent alongside my mama at a non-profit organization in our community. During my teenage years I served as a teen peer counselor, helping other teens like myself in my community.
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays throughout the year. The girls love getting dressed up and meeting with friends for a safe and friendly trick or treat around the neighborhood. We like to start Halloween by reading our favorite Not-So-Scary Halloween Books. We love knocking on our neighbors and friends doors and shouting Trick or Treat! Last year the girls were Anna and Elsa from Disney’s Frozen. This year we may have a Cinderella and a Ballerina.
