What is one thing that your family does weekly, together? Ours hosts a game night on Thursday! It’s a tradition we’ve carried on since Jason was tween. The girls love when it’s their turn to pick out a board game for game night. Little do they know that after they head off to bed, it’s the tweens and young adults turn. And then there’s Mama’s Night In aka adult-only board game night. I’ve partnered with Wonder Forge to introduce you to some new games that will help you cover your next game night with board games for tweens, young adults and a Mama’s Night In.
Game Night Board Games For Tweens, Young Adults, and Mama Too!
Weekly game nights are a great way for families and friends to come together. But it doesn’t have to take all night! Sometimes 20 minutes is all you need to gather everyone around the table to start rolling the dice, plotting their next move and having fun! Wonder Forge debuts three quick-play options that will put smiles on everyone’s faces.
Tweens and Young Adults Game Night!
Ya Blew It! – Ages 8 & up with 2 to 6 players. $16.99 at Target and Amazon.
Ya Blew It! is great for those who like loud, fast and fun games. Warning: shouts of “Fire in the Hole!” might erupt as you engage in this risk-taking social game. Players dig deep in the card deck to mine for diamonds and stake their claim. However, other prospectors may try to steal from you and give you the shaft! You can play it safe, or push your luck looking for a bigger claim, either way, it’s explosive, and you’ll enjoy the fun with every suspenseful roll of the unique 8-sided dynamite dice! This family game includes dice, cards, and instructions and has a playing time of 20 minutes.
Big Money – Ages 8 & up with 2 to 5 players. $19.97 exclusively at Walmart.
Big Money is ideal for families who love Monopoly but hate how long it takes to play. Everyone gets crazy rich in this fast-play game, but who will end up the wealthiest? With each roll you’ll have a chance to rake in the dough but be careful, the tables could turn at any moment or the bank could go bust. Roll the dice and buy amazing investments for your empire – a candy factory, a pro soccer team or a movie studio. You decide what risks to take as you collect companies and become a Zillionaire! This family game includes 6 dice, 1 dice cup, 47 cards, 120 bills, instructions, and 1 game board and has a playing time of 30 minutes.
Adults Only Game Night!
Yeah/NOPE – Ages 17 & up with 3 to 8 players. $19.99 on sale exclusively at Target $14.99.
Yeah/NOPE is perfect for your next “Mama’ Night In” or even college dorm fun! When the kids are away, the adults will play! The “mermaid sequin” box is almost as irresistible as this tell-all game, where players must guess what happened and how! Have you told off a boss? Made out with someone in a closet? Players work together to build on the story and speculate using situation cards until the moment the truth is revealed with a swipe of the gold, mermaid sequin box – Yeah or NOPE. You’ll blush, you’ll giggle, you’ll gasp… because you never know the whole truth! This adult friendly game includes cards, tiles, tokens, and instructions and has a playing time of 30-60 minutes.
