When you are shopping with children, comfort – and speed, are a must. Em loves to race around the Dolphin Mall in her own speed cart, and I love that I don’t have to lug around shopping bags from our purchases. It’s a win-win situation all around. If you are kid-less, I highly recommend one of the other SmartCarte’s. With so many stores to explore, your arms will thank me for it.

Em and I were invited to Dolphin Mall for a day of fun shopping and a full on experience of everything the mall has to offer. Every since Em began preschool our time together has become limited to just a few hours a day and weekends. Enjoying a day built for just her and I is a very precious gift for both of us. Taking an opportunity for one on one time with our children means more to them than we will ever be able to understand.

We made a pit stop at Starbuck for a special treat – for her and myself. Em picked out a fruit and egg tray, along with a mocha chocolate milk – the special treat. I enjoyed my usual Grande Iced Hazelnut Latte along with the Slow Roasted Ham and Swiss Egg sandwich. If you’ve never had it, TRY IT.

Now that I was properly caffeinated I headed off to check out the deals at the Bloomingdales Outlet. My eyes quickly scanned the store and made a beeline for this beautiful leather Coach handbag. The only thing holding me back – and savings my husbands checking account, was that it was white. I don’t do white because it never stays white for long. I did pick up some cologne for J-bird and Papa and was happily surprised to not even need to get a price match because all the colognes were on clearance at 90% off – DEAL OF THE DAY FOR SURE!

They also have unique specialty stores like Fit2Run – which has everything a runner needs. I quickly tweeted at two of my girlfriends who are runners to tell them about it.

After some fun shopping – and scoring some great deals, we headed to CineBistro. At this unique movie theatre you can dine will you watch a movie. The food is top-notch and they have a kids menu as well. We watched The Minions while we noshed on Fish Tacos, Mac n’ Cheese, Kobe Sliders, and Sweet Potato Fries. The food was delicious and not a drop was left behind. After the movie we headed over to Cool De Sac. A fun place for kids to run around and have a blast while they burn off energy. You can kick back and relax, all while keeping them within eyeview.  There are tons of things for the children to do at Dolphin Mall, bowling, indoor playgrounds and even a Dave & Busters. Be sure to sign your kids up to the coolest free kids club around, the Dolphin Mall’s Splasher’s Club. As a member you will receive exclusive offers and discounts from participating stores.

If you are shopping with anyone from out of town, be sure to stop by the Customer Service kiosk and present their ID or Passport.
