Valentine’s Day is by far one of the happiest and beloved holidays for everyone in our home. As if the other 364 days of the year aren’t enough to show our love to one another – Valentine’s Day just makes it more fun! Valentine’s Day isn’t just for adults – it can be a fun family activity too. Sharing Valentine’s cards, candy and small gifts of love with the kids is a favorite for us.
Working and raising a child on your own typically consumes all of your time. With having so much to take care of, it can seem like days are never long enough to get everything done. Having been a single parent to J for over 10 years, I had to learn to manage my time if I wanted to get things done in an effective and efficient way.
As the Christmas season settles upon us, there is an almost palpable energy in the air and a magic twinkle in the eyes of children. The anticipation of Christmas Day is larger than children are tall and seems to radiate from their little beings! Knowing how to celebrate and help children enjoy the season in an affordable way can often feel overwhelming.
Thanksgiving is upon us and there is nothing better than spending time with your loved ones. Since I spend a lot of time cooking for the most part of the day I like to find activities I can do with the kids in between.
This Thanksgiving, get inspired and create new traditions and memories with a little creativity and a lot of color! Just in time for the holiday, Crayola is encouraging families to spend time together making festive decorations for the home and Thanksgiving table.
