It’s almost time to head back to school and that means back to school books should be at the top of your back to school shopping list. The summer has been fun and I hope you and your little one have had fun reading fun adventure and exploring books throughout the summer. Going back to school, or for the first time, can be scary for little ones. Reading back to school books can make the transition into their new classroom or school easier for your child.
Family time and time spent with my girls is my number one priority. Since Em attends preschool my time with her is more limited than with Preemie. Preemie will be starting preschool in June and I don’t know what I am going to do with all the free time on my hands. Just kidding, of course I know. I will likely spend most of the day thinking about what I will do with the girls when they come home.

The other day we were looking for some of Em’s sippy cups and couldn’t find any of the ones we normally send her to school with. When I asked the teachers they advised me that another girl uses the same ones (literally the same featured characters and all) and that its possible they went home with her.
Reading is something we all take part in at home. The girls love reading and we love reading to them. Particularly our favorite books are learning books. While reading in part is a learning experience, learning about people, animals, and the world around us, makes it so much more fun!
As any parents of little ones know, kids are curious about everything. They love exploring the world around them, learning how things work, and discovering new and interesting things about the world around them.
