Summer Reading: The Princess And The Pony #Giveaway

Disclosure: Many thanks to Scholastic for sponsoring today’s story and celebrating my birthday with me and you! All opinions expressed are 100% my own.

It’s my birthday…well almost, just 2 more days and I will be turning the BIG 29 – for like the 8th year in a row! Wooohooo, just kidding, I am totally embracing being in my mid thirties, but in my heart I am still a big kid. Just like any other kid, what better way to celebrate a birthday than with a story about The Princess and The Pony. Come on, admit it, you always wanted to be a princess and you always wanted a pony…right? I mean what girl doesn’t. My little girls love dressing up like a princess and although they haven’t started asking for a pony yet I am sure it is just a matter of time.

Reading is so important to our family. The girls love story time and we use that time for bonding and learning. We are always exploring new books with funny off the wall tales that get keep the girls laughing and using their imaginations. Kate Beaton just released a new picture called The Princess and The Pony. Kate, better known for her award-winning web comic – Hark! A Vagrant, created this quirky picture book about an unconventional princess and her awkward farting pony as they work to be the best warriors in their Viking town. Imaginations gone wild will surely spark up the fun creativity waiting to explore the love of reading and fairy tales in your child’s mind.
