We’ve got two pups in our home. Poochi – he’s 4 and a Chihuahua/Poodle, and Lucky – he’s 1 and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Poodle. Try to say that three times fast. Having the girls grow up with dogs that they get to watch grow with them has been special. Em was 9 months old when we got Poochi, who was 3 months old. Em was 4 and Anabelle was 2 when we got Lucky at 3 months old. The girls have been around dogs basically always which has taught them compassion, trust, responsibility and patience. Today is National Love Your Pet Day so we presented Lucky with a special new dog bowl with his named printed on it. It was a gift from our friends at Rock Dog and fitting as Lucky just turned 1 this week! Rock Dog asked me to share something special with you too – these awesome rocking Rock Dog coloring pages and activity sheets.

Rock Dog Movie Trailer
For the Tibetan Mastiffs living on Snow Mountain, a dog’s life has a simple riff: Guard a peaceful village of wool-making sheep from the thuggish wolf Linnux (Lewis Black) and his rabid pack. To avoid distractions, Mastiff leader Khampa (J.K. Simmons) forbids all music from the mountain. But when Khampa’s son Bodi (Luke Wilson) discovers a radio dropped by a passing airplane, it takes just a few guitar licks for his fate to be sealed: Bodi wants to be a rock ‘n’ roll star. Yet that means defying his father’s wishes, heading to the city, and locating the legendary – and reclusive – musician Angus Scattergood (Eddie Izzard), who needs to write a new song and fast.
If Bodi can put a band together, help Angus with his song, and defeat the wolves’ plot to take Snow Mountain, his life will be in tune. Bodi will become what he’s always dreamed of being: More than a dog … more than a Rock God… he’ll be a ROCK DOG!

This movie is going to be good to take the kids to see and the coloring page printables are fun for my kids to do. I will have to print them out for them!
