Planning the Ultimate Road Trip Out West {Giveaway}

Road trips are one of my favorite ways to travel. Traveling across the country from our home on the East Coast to the West Coast is high up on my bucket list. I’m trying to set up summer travel plans for the weeks that the girls don’t have camp so we can explore some new places together. There are so many great options on road trips we can take, narrowing them down is the hard part. Planning the ultimate road trip out West this summer can be much easier when you have the right tools.

A road trip can be a true bonding experience for families. Couple that with some visits to National Parks and Monuments and it becomes an educational experience too! Taking a cross-country road trip requires special planning which is why I’ve partnered with Penguin Random House to make planning the ultimate road trip out West for you easier. Fodor’s The Complete Guide to the National Parks of the West is a great resource that can help guide you through all the majestic mountains, towering redwoods and river-carved canyons that the national parks of the West have to offer. It’s a full-color guide planning tool for a perfect parks trip which includes 38 of the nation’s best-loved parks, among them the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Yellowstone, and Rocky Mountain. For 80 years Fodor’s has been a trusted resource offering expert travel advice, and providing essential tools to assist you in your travel plans.

Fodor’s National Parks of the West contains completely updated coverage of the best sites, dining, and lodging in and around each park. The Fodor’s online tool is another great additional resource which helps you pick your park(s), set road trip itineraries, and more. Add in a collection of audio books from the Penguin Random House Listening Library and you’ll keep the family entertained the entire time! Did you know that 85% of what we learn, we learn by listening?

So why is now a good time to take that road trip out West? In celebration of the National Park Service Centennial, throughout 2016 all parks, including the venerable Yellowstone and Yosemite, will be celebrating with activities and initiatives that allow visitors to revel in their natural, historical, and cultural splendor. With these tools you’re sure to have the best summer trip yet!
