You might recall back in June when I shared the Black Panther teaser trailer. I had just seen Captain America: Civil War, which is one of the few Marvel movies I’ve ever seen, and had totally fallen in love with the introduction of the Black Panther. That accent made my stomach flutter and my heart beat just a little faster. HERO. LEGEND. KING. Yes, the Black Panther is a true King born a royal descendant of a warrior race in the African nation of Wakanda.
Yesterday my son calls me and tells me that his childhood dreams are finally coming true. Confused as he always makes me I ask him what in the world he’s talking about. Seems he heard before even I did that Disney Pixar is finally releasing a sequel to the very popular Incredibles movie. While I don’t usually watch a lot of television, I had found myself binge watching tons of shows on Netflix and Hulu. One of those shows is Orange Is The New Black – and it was already well into season 3 before I started. Umpteen hours later I was caught up – and was totally in love with a few spectacular characters, one of which was Boo aka Lea DeLaria aka Madame Delphina.
It’s been a while since I’ve been in San Francisco, three years to be exact. My first visit ever to San Fran was back in 2012, we spent about four days on the wharf. We visited all the fun places like Ghirardelli Square, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, the boys rented a funky vehicle and drove down Lombard street and we ate dinner in Little Italy.
